Take a Bite out of Alberta: Alberta Muffin Challenge 2010

Contest Rules

    Registration is now OPEN. 
    Registration closes: August 19th  
    Register on-line or in person. 
    Register at the Elevator, the Farmers Market, or the Spruce Grove IGA customer service desk.
    $2 registration fee may be paid on-site.
    You must be registered to win!

1. Ingredients must be either grown or produced in Alberta.
2. One bonus ingredient will be allowed (non-Alberta grown or produced). 
3. Two Dozen muffins, along with the recipe, must be brought to the Grain Elevator Site, between 10 AM and 12 Noon on Saturday August 15th for judging.
4. Suppliers of each ingredient MUST be listed on the submitted recipe.
5. Additional Challenge: Bake using BARLEY FLOUR.
6. Muffins will be judged based on each of these three qualities: 
          a, Appearance
          b. Taste
          c. Creativity

TWO  AGE CATEGORIES
     1. Junior Baker - Age 18 and under
     2. Seasoned Baker - Age 18 and over

TWO FLAVOUR CATEGORIES
    1. Savoury
    2. Sweet
